Replacing the PSM08R Mini-USB adapter, the lower-cost and more efficient charger is double-insulated, meets Class B EMI standards and features short-circuit, over-voltage and over-current protections, claimed Phihong. The device is equipped with a constant-current feature that complies with USB's Battery Charger Specification Rev. 1.0 and enables quick charge of Li-ion batteries followed by a constant-voltage output, added the company.
Ideal for frequent travellers and OEMs with a worldwide customer base, the PSAC09R features field interchangeable AC clips for Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Europe, Korea, India, the U.K. and the U.S. A clip with an IEC320 C8 input is also available to convert the wall plug into a desktop-style adapter that can be powered by a two-wire line cord. All AC clips are sold separately. The PSAC09R series measures 71.7 x 45 x 29.79mm and weighs 120g. The 1.5m output cable is terminated with a standard Micro-B USB connector. Phihong offers users the opportunity to change connectors in-house with no minimum order requirement.
