Conductive ink targets photovoltaic apps

Engineered Conductive Materials LLC (ECM) has unveiled a couple of conductive grid inks—CI-1083-L and CI-1081-H—for photovoltaic applications. The products have been optimized for excellent conductivity and low contact resistance on transparent conductive oxides used in thin-film solar modules, the company stated.

According to ECM, the CI-1083-series have high solid contents and optimized rheologies to enable screen-printing of high aspect ratio fine lines to maximize the print thickness and reduce shadowing. The low stress, low shrinkage thermosetting inks offer excellent moisture resistance and low polymeric creep, added the company. Line resistivity is also very low at 8m?/sq/mil (1mil emulsion; 230 mesh).
