Visteon invests in Bonaire, expands China presence

Visteon Corp. is planning to invest in Wuhu Bonaire Auto Electrical Systems Co. Ltd (Bonaire) to strengthen its presence in China. Bonaire is a subsidiary of Chery Technology and supplies climate products to Chinese car manufacturer Chery Automobile.

The investment will be carried out through one of Visteon's international affiliates and is designed to enhance Visteon's climate product capabilities and market presence in China while strengthening its business relationship with Chery.

Established in 2003, Bonaire is an automotive climate supplier that develops and manufactures heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and engine cooling systems. It has more than 700 employees including 200 engineers.

One of Visteon's most important fields of activity is climate products for vehicles such as compressors, HVAC, powertrain cooling and fluid transport solutions. The company runs 17 climate manufacturing sites in Asia, including eight wholly owned or joint venture facilities in China.
