Tactile switch touts long operating life

C&K Components Inc. has introduced a family of cost-effective, tactile switch for a number of price-sensitive applications, the KSE Series. According to the company, the device is ideal for consumer, home appliance, smart metering and telecommunication applications.

"Based on C&K's proven KSC Series, the new KSE Series tactile switch provides the dependability and ruggedness required for harsh environment conditions in a low-profile, economical package," said Eric Grange, product manager at C&K Components.

The single pole single throw (SPST) KSE Series features mechanical parameters based on a force of 1.5±0.5N, tactile travel of 0.3+0.1/-0.2mm, and an operational life of 300,000 cycles. Featuring a maximum power rating of 1VA, maximum voltage rating of 32VDC and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C, the IP 67-rated KSE Series is available in J bend& Gullwing terminations for SMT.
