Surface-mount resistors tout 5每7W power rating
Keywords:surface-mount resistor? current sensing? resistance tolerance?
The construction of the resistors incorporates a solid metal nickel-chrome or manganese-copper alloy resistive element with low TCR (less than 20ppm/嚙瘠). This creates a high-power resistor with an operating temperature range of -65∼C to 170∼C and does not compromise the electrical characteristics of the Power Metal Strip construction, the company noted.
The new devices allow for the design of high-power circuits featuring the smallest possible resistor for higher-performance products. Furthermore, the resistors' high-temperature capability allows them to be used in harsh, high-temperature environments without sacrificing power rating or electrical performance. AEC-Q200-qualified versions of the devices are available.
The resistors are ideal for all types of current sensing, voltage division and pulse applications, including switching and linear power supplies, instruments and power amplifiers. They can also be used in shunts in automotive electronic controls such as engine, brushless DC motor, anti-lock brake and climate controls; industrial controls including down-hole test/measurement equipment for oil/gas well drilling; and inverter controls for HVAC systems.
The WSLP2726 resistor measures 6.9 x 6.6mm (0.272 x 0.260in) with a maximum height profile of 3mm (0.117in) while the WSLP4026 measures 10.1 x 6.6mm (0.40 x 0.26in) with a height profile of 3mm (0.117in). A proprietary processing technique produces extremely low resistance values ranging from 0.5每2m次, with tight tolerances of one percent and five percent.
The WSLP2726 and WSLP4026 provide very low inductance at 0.5每5nH and low thermal EMF (less than 3?V/∼C). The resistors are compliant to RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC.
Samples and production quantities of the new resistors are available with a lead time of six to eight weeks for larger orders. Pricing varies by application, volume and region.
