The UBA3077HN is a 3-channel LED driver offered by NXP Semiconductors. It is designed for use in lighting and backlighting Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD) applications. Operating with a supply between 10 V and 42 V, it can drive up to three strings of 20 LEDs each rated at up to 150 mA. An external 5 V supply voltage powers the low voltage circuitry.

The driver can be programmed to operate in I2C-bus mode or direct Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) mode. All FETs are integrated in the chip to reduce the size of the application and the cost for external components.

This document provides application guidelines for a 3-channel LED boost mode driver for lighting and LCD backlighting applications, including an application set-up.
