Laird Technologies Inc. has rolled its new wireless module that is based on the FlexRF technology. According to the company, its High Power LT1110 900MHz wireless module performs more than 40 times better than the output power of the current low power LT1110.

The LT1110 family permits an unlimited number of clients to synchronize to a single server for low latency communications. The server and all clients in a network can communicate with any radio in range via either addressed or broadcast packets. The configuration and test software allows OEMs to design and test networks to suit their applications, described Laird Technologies.

The module features output power up to 24dBM in the same small surface mount or pluggable form factor as the original LT1110. It also includes an integrated antenna or U.FL for an external antenna. The company added that the device is easy to integrate and provides simple wireless communications for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint networks.

While the High Power LT1110 offers greater transmit power than the previous Low Power LT1110 version, the same low power sleep modes are available, continued Laird Technologies. This makes the module ideal for the M2M market segment, particularly sensors and handheld data loggers, added the company.
