"As TE continues to expand our presence in the FPC connector market, we are excited to announce the introduction of this expanded offering to serve customers with applications requiring connectors outside of the standard range of 10-50 positions," stated Tyler Madden, product specialist, TE Connectivity.
What is an FPC connector? FPC is an interconnect solution that is ideal where small centerline spacing makes larger wire-to-board interconnects impractical. As the market moves toward miniaturization, FPC connectors have been developed to meet demands of smaller centerline or pitch spacing, lower profile heights and lighter interconnect solutions. |
Customers can choose between front flip lock or back flip lock actuators, satisfying various design specifications for consumer electronics, set top boxes, mobile devices, etc. The RoHS compliant connectors are available in Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) and non-ZIF, SMT and T/H PCB termination, and in right angle and vertical mounting orientations.
