"CES Unveiled" opened last Sunday, January 8, with more than a thousand members of the press was unleashed on a group of companies showcasing innovations that represent the spirit of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Here are some gadgets that caught our eye.

The LG phone, equipped with VMWare software enables the user to include a fully encrypted business phone within a personal phone, operating separately. The phone runs on Android 2.2 OS.

Transform an iPad into a guitar! The Guitar Apprentice guitar controller for the iPad is a full-scale, electric guitar-style controller that transforms the iPad into a guitar-learning experience. Simply place your iPad into the Guitar Apprentice's fitted holder, open the Guitar Apprentice app, and you're good to go. The device doesn't require cables or external connections.

Called "Piano apprentice," this one below lets a user plop his/her iPad in a box shaped like a keyboard. The student follows lights on the piano apprentice's keys to learn how to play the instrument.
