LG-Ericsson USA Inc. has expanded its iPECS ES3000 series of switches with the introduction of four devices. The ES-3050, ES-3050P ES-3052G and ES-3052GP switches offer high density and bandwidth, flexibility, enterprise-level functionality, security and energy efficiency, stated the company.

According to LG-Ericsson, the devices are easy to set up and maintain in the network and provide enterprise-class Layer 2 switching with Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit connectivity. "Scaled for all kinds of demanding applications, these switches are ideal for today's do-it-all, mission-critical unified communications applications. And, in these new Gigabit ES-3052G and 3052GP switches, we've continued to advance our commitment to Green technology, taking them to the next level with 802.3az energy efficiency," LG-Ericsson noted.

The 1U-high ES-3000 switches are good for the environment as they use power-saving Green Ethernet design with simple and intuitive configuration and management features via the company's Unified Device Manager (UDM), indicated the company.

iPECS ES3000

The iPECS ES3000 switches are 802.3az-compliant.

The switches support advanced QoS and security for safety and efficiency that's robust and reliable enough to support unified communications applications that stress the network with data communication, VoIP and even video, boasted LG-Ericsson. The ES-3052G and ES-3052GP Gigabit switches bring 802.3az-compliant efficiency to easy, flexible connectivity. They connect easily to any network using a combination of auto negotiation to select the optimum speed, duplex for each link and auto MDI/MDIX to eliminate the need for crossover cables, and at-a-glance LEDs make status-checks simple. Priority marking, in addition to L2/L3 QoS, ensures effective traffic management in the most demanding mixed (voice/data/video) environments, while 802.1x/RADIUS/TACACS+ authentication, encryption, guest VLAN and more keep it secure, added LG-Ericsson.

The iPECS ES-3000 Gigabit Ethernet switches can transmit and receive traffic seamlessly in full-duplex mode and at non-blocking wire speed performance. Each port provides up to 2Gb/s of bandwidth for transmitting and receiving packets in full-duplex mode, and supports auto uplink, making the switches easy to put to work to expand or upgrade a network.

The iPECS ES-3050 48-port 10/100Base-TX managed switch with two additional SFP/RJ-45 Gigabit combo uplink ports and the iPECS ES-3050P with the additional feature of PoE on all ports; and the iPECS ES-3052G 48-port 10/100/1000Base-T managed Gigabit switch with four additional SFP uplink ports and its PoE on all ports version, the iPECS ES-3052GP are available now.
