Keywords:On-Chip Debugger? microcontroller? Port pin control?

Renesas Starter Kits (RSK) are supplied as development systems for the selected microcontroller. The RSK includes an evaluation board, portable On-Chip Debugger and a set of peripheral sample code.

The purpose of this application note is to show the user how to add the tutorial sample code to a new or existing IAR Embedded Workbench workspace; as well as give an explanation of what the sample code does.

This code, running on the RL78/G13 RSK, will call three functions to demonstrate Port pin control (FlashLEDs), Interrupt usage (TimerADC) and C variable initialization (Statics_Test). Code is also included to drive the optional LCD module.
