Network security sol'ns aimed at cloud, enterprise

Clavister has introduced a set of what it touts as high performance mobile and network security solutions for enterprises, cloud and telecoms providers. This is the company's response to the growing number and complexity of IT security threats that corporate networks are at risk from, including those created by the use of social media and mobile devices.

Designed to simplify installation, management and support, the security solutions have been launched in tandem with an improved OS with a more user friendly interface. Known as Clavister cOS, it has been released in two versions cOS Core and cOS Stream that replace Clavister CorePlus and SlipStream.

Clavister cOS Core has rolled the Application Control that according to the company will identify and control more than 1,000 apps such as Facebook, YouTube and Skype, and business applications such as Oracle Financials or Microsoft Navision. The Clavister cOS Stream, which is designed for telecommunications operators, can optimize mobile data offloading and mobile PBN.

The portfolio includes the Clavister Virtual Series that is designed for virtual and cloud environments, Clavister Eagle Series that are made for remote and branch offices, Clavister Lynx Series for industrial and ruggedized products, Clavister Wolf Series that target enterprise and data centers, and Clavister PolarBear Series aimed at telecom and carrier grade products.
