ZMDI introduces the ZSSC3026, a 16-bit signal sensor conditioner (SSC) that is designed for calibrating resistive sensor modules. The device claims high-accuracy amplification and offers 16-bit precision analog-to-digital conversion and an 18-bit DSP for linearization and calibration functions.

This high-resolution sensor interface ASSP provides features for battery-driven low-power devices, ultralow standby current and power-saving technology to ensure lowest overall current consumption. Originally designed for high resolution altimeter module applications, the ZSSC3026 is suited for use in any device that requires high accuracy and low power consumption.

The device also supports high accuracy industrial and medical applications such as ambient assisted living and industrial pressure sensors. Extended temperature range, 4kV ESD protection and an outstanding power supply rejection ratio (PSR) enable a wide range of products in harsh environments.

The ZSSC3026 operates in the power supply range of 1.8V to 3.6V. It uses The ZSSC3026's operating temperature range is -40?C to +110?C. Accuracy is better than ?0.01% FSO over the full temperature range. Developed for correction of resistive bridge sensors, the ZSSC3026 can provide a corrected temperature output measured with an internal sensor.

Digital compensation of signal offset, sensitivity, temperature and non-linearity is accomplished via an 18-bit internal DSP running a correction algorithm. Calibration coefficients are stored on-chip in a highly reliable, nonvolatile, multiple-time programmable memory. An integrated charge pump allows programming the internal memory without any additional external voltage.

The device is available in PQFN, bumped die, bare die Package options at a unit price$3.13 for packaged parts in volumes of 1,000; and $0.95 for die on frame in volumes of 20,000.
