Acer Foundation holds inaugural Green Innovation Contest

According to a report from Marketwire, Acer Foundation has recently kicked off the first annual green innovation contest to promote a better and greener living environment. The competition has called students from all levels worldwide to create innovative and sustainable solutions. Selected finalists will be selected to compete for a grand prize of $60,000 along with a complementary trip for Taipei for Computex 2013.

Richard Lai, executive director of Acer Foundation, stated that the company is proud to be the organizer of the contest and it hopes to enhance awareness and understanding of caring for a greener environment.

The deadline to submit an entry is September 30, 2012. From the pool of competing entries, Acer Foundation will select up to twelve finalists. Submitted entries will be evaluated by a panel of experts based on essential factors of earth friendliness, reality friendliness and innovation friendliness.
