Cisco systems cuts 1,300 more jobs due to company restructuring

Cisco Systems Inc. has recently announced plans to cut an estimated 1,300 more jobs. According to reports, the layoffs are partly due to the ongoing restructuring at the company.

A report by the Reuters news service stated that Cisco's job cuts would impact about two percent of the company's global workforce. Reuters also reported that the company had around 65,233 workers at the end of its fiscal third quarter.

Last July, Cisco cut about 6,500 jobs as part of a restructuring plan intended to help the company reduce about $1 billion in annual costs.
