HBT power amp targets wireless infrastructure apps

RFMD has announced a single-stage InGaP HBT power amplifier engineered for wireless infrastructure applications. The RFPA2089 offers high-gain linear operation at a comparably low DC power making it ideal for next generation radios requiring high efficiency, stated the company. Its external matching allows for use across various radio platforms.

The RFPA2089 features -60dBc ACPR at 13dBm WCDMA, 0.25W OP1dB and 17.6dB gain at 2.65GHz. It boasts excellent linearity-to-DC power ratio and delivers single-supply 5V operation. It flaunts Class 2 (2kV) HBM ESD. The device can be used as driver amplifier for base station transceivers, PA stage for commercial wireless infrastructure, IF amplifier, and for 2G, 3G, LTE transceiver applications.
