Latest Blue Pearl software boasts enhanced Path analysis

Blue Pearl Software Inc., a provider of electronic design automation (EDA) software, has recently shipped out its Release 6.1 of its Blue Pearl Software Suite for Windows and Linux operating systems. The new version includes enhancements which improve and further automate the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design process, including critical path analysis.

Enhancements to Blue Pearl Software Suite Version 6.1 include mode-based path analysis, improved tool control using tool command language (TCL) and enhanced clock domain crossing (CDC) schematics to pinpoint problems. Previously锟絘nnounced, 6.0 enhancements锟絠ncluded multi-language (SystemVerilog, VHDL, and Verilog) support, a longest path viewer and an improved FPGA synthesis flow.

Shakeel Jeeawoody, Blue Pearl's VP for marketing stated that the release's goal is to alleviate painful parts of the FPGA design process coupled with easy to use EDA software. The 6.1 release hopes to provide designers with more control over tool flow and mode-based path analysis before running synthesis and timing analysis.
