Vishay's thin film chip resistors up to 100MOhms

Vishay Intertechnology has recently unveiled its latest CS44 series of wirebondable thin film chip resistors. The latest chip resistors come in a compact footprint in resistances up to 100M.

Based on a chromium silicon thin film resistive element, the devices offer higher density, ohmic values, and performance when compared with their thick film counterparts. The devices also feature low TCR down to 50 ppm/C and tolerances to 0.5 %.

The resistors provide excellent stability of 0.1 % for 2,000 hours at rated power and + 70C for high-reliability industrial, medical, military, and aerospace equipment. In these applications, the CS44 resistors can save PCB space and reduce weight by replacing several 20 mil by 20 mil resistors.

The CS44 series offers a wide resistance range from 400 k to 100 M, very low noise of below20 dB typical, and a thermal EMF of under 0.01 V/C. The RoHS-compliant devices offer rated power of 0.380 W at + 70C, 100V limiting element voltage, and a55C to + 155C operating and storage temperature range.
