Inertial MEMS specialist Kionix Inc. has recently debut the KXCJA, new low-power, high-performance accelerometer. The new device comes in an ultra-thin 3x3x3x0.7mm package.

With mobile devices becoming smaller and thinner, John Chong, Director of Product Engineering, stated that Kionix is using its proprietary DRIE process and state-of-the-art FAB to achieve a new industry benchmark with the KXCJA while maintaining performance, quality and yield.

KXCJA. Offers up to 14bit resolution.

The KXCJA offers a rich feature set including embedded motion wake-up functionality, power as low as 1?A and significant stability. The 0.7mm thin package is suited for high-volume handset and tablet applications, offering manufacturers a combination of quality, performance and size, noted Kionix.

"The KXCJA represents the next generation of accelerometers driven by customers' growing needs for thinner sensors. Our customers constantly face design challenges to build smaller and lower-cost devices with greater functionality, and we are responding," stated sales and marketing EVP Kenneth Salky.
