Richardson RFPD Inc. has revealed full design support capabilities its digital-to-analogue converters (DACs) from Analog Devices Inc. (ADI). According to the company, the AD9119 and AD9129 are high performance, 11/14bit RF DACs that support data rates up to 2.8GSPS.

The devices are based on a quad-switch architecture that enables dual-edge clocking operation, effectively increasing the DAC update rate to 5.6GSPS when configured for Mix-Mode or 2x interpolation. The high dynamic range and signal reconstruction bandwidth support RF signal synthesis of up to 4.2GHz, making them ideal for CATV, wireless infrastructure, instrumentation, automatic test equipment (ATE), radar and jammer applications, noted Richardson.

The DACs feature a dual-port interface with double data rate (DDR) low-voltage differential signalling (LVDS) data receivers that supports 2800MSPS maximum conversion rate and simplifies system integration. The devices are manufactured on a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) process and an ADI-proprietary switching technique enhances dynamic performance.

The devices are in stock and available for immediate delivery.
