X-Band LNA boasts higher gain, linearity performance

Richardson RFPD has recently unveiled full design support capabilities for a new X-band GaAs low noise amplifier (LNA) from M/A-COM Technology Solutions. The new LNA offers outstanding performance at a very low price, and a small, fully matched PQFN package for simple implementation in VSAT, radar and microwave applications.

The MAAL-010528 offers higher gain and linearity performance in the 8.0 to 12.0GHz band than many competing parts, as well as low noise figure and excellent gain flatness, in a miniature, lead-free, 16-lead, 3 mm x 3 mm PQFN surface mount plastic package. The LNA also features a self-bias architecture which requires only a single positive supply.
