Digital temperature sensor ICs consume only 170uA power

A series of digital sensor ICs has been recently launched by Hangzhou SDIC Microelectronics. The SD5020, SD5075, and SD5003 have very low power consumption, high accuracy, and wide operation range.

During temperature measurement, typical power consumption of Hangzhou's latest sensor ICs is only 170uA. Measurement inaccuracy is less than 0.5C from -40C to 85C. Resolution is 0.0625C. Measurement range is -55C to 125C.

SD5020 employs single wire communication. Over-temperature and hysteresis thresholds can be set through registers. Each IC has a unique 40bit address suitable for multi-slaves system. The IC is pin compatible with DS18B20.

SD5075 communicates with other devices through its I2C/SMBus compatible line interface. Eight SD5075 can be connected in parallel by setting their A2-A0 address bits. The IC is pin compatible with ADT75/LM75A/TMP75.

SD5003 provides PWM open-drain output. It has fixed output frequency with duty cycle changes in proportion to temperature. The IC is pin compatible with TMP03.
