element14 has rolled out an expanded portfolio of products from Recom Power that include DC/DC converters; isolated board mount and LED driver, and switch-mode power supplies; PCB mount and LED drivers/PSU, which are intended for industrial, transportation, medical and lighting applications.

Recom's range of DC/DC converters includes the series RBE, REE, ROE and R1SE that claim to offer high value for its low cost and deliver high efficiency.

According to the company, the R1SE Series, with 1W, 1kVDC isolation and 5V input/output, is the first release in the economical "E-class". Used mainly to provide isolation for the interfaces of bus systems, order code 2218601, this promises a 30 per cent price advantage compared to the standard products, with no compromises to quality.

Among its portfolio from element14, Recom offers a range of DC/DC converters that are certified to the stringent requirements of the IEC/EN 60601-Medical Equipment standard. These are suitable for a variety of medical applications in which high isolation and low leakage currents are required.

Among the LED drivers, the RCD-48 series, used typically for applications such as 48V bus lighting solutions or high voltage LED arrays such as high bay lights, is a step-down constant current source.

From Recom's range of LED power supplies the series RACD100 and RACD150 are suitable for indoor and outdoor uses, order code 2289668, and is geared for driving high-power LED applications and come with a 5 year warranty.

In addition to the regulated AC/DC converters RAC01 and RAC02 series, Recom's RAC03-SCR/277 series of 3W mini power supplies, order code 2289701, boasts excellent efficiency of up to 78 per cent. It features a wide input voltage range, and its stand-by power consumption of 40mW is particularly energy-saving consuming less than a twelfth of the requirements of the EuP directive.

All of Recom's products are compliant with the new RoHS2 directive, and are available for immediate despatch from element14.
