Ultra-low power 12bit ADC from Analog Devices
Keywords:Richardson RFPD? Analog Device? converter?
Richardson RFPD has announced the availability for Analog Devices' new 1 MSPS, ultra-low power 12bit successive approximation register analogue-to-digital converter (SAR ADC).
The AD7091 offers ultra-low power consumption (typically 367?A at 3V and 1MSPS; 324?A typical at 3V in power-down mode) while achieving fast throughput rates (1MSPS with a 50MHz SCLK). It operates from a single 2.09V to 5.25V power supply and features an on-chip conversion clock and a high speed serial interface. The new device is ideally-suited for applications ranging from battery-powered systems (handheld meters, medical instruments, mobile communications) to instrumentation and control systems, data acquisition systems, optical sensors, diagnostic or monitoring functions, and energy harvesting.
