Absolute EMS, a U.S.-based electronic manufacturing services provider to medical, automotive, green tech, and electronic OEM companies, has teamed up with Ionics Inc. in the Philippines to expand its manufacturing capacity and flexibility to accommodate the full range of volume demand from customers worldwide.

Electronic manufacturing services located in the Philippines are at the forefront of a trend in leveraging the lower cost of labour, which is about half to a third less than rates in China, the stability of the workforce, tax advantages as well as U.S.-based legal standard for IP protection.

Absolute EMS claims that partnering with Ionics will add more stability to the company's manufacturing capability, which boasts of a two per cent turnover rate, and will enable a more streamlined production process from design to prototype.

"Together, both companies have the capability to design (industrial, mechanical and electrical), build quick-turn prototypes and NPI productions locally in the USA, and immediately scale high quality mass production at the best price. We provide customers with the best value and the fastest product development life-cycle," said Ionics VP Earl Qua.
