Photorelays realize isolation voltage of 5000Vrms

Toshiba recently introduced the TLP241A and TLP241AF as the company's latest additions to its TLP240 series of high current photorelays. The new devices come in DIP4 packages that offer reinforced insulation.

The products increase guaranteed maximum on-state current to 2A, four times that of the existing product, allowing use in applications that include factory automation, which requires control of high current. Toshiba's new photo relays can also be used in smart meters, security equipment, measurement control systems, replacement of mechanical relays, and medical equipment

The "TLP240" series adopts a double-mould DIP4 package, realising an isolation voltage of 5000Vrms (AC, 1 minute). The latest addition to the series will offer a wide range of off-state output terminal voltage, from 40 to 600V, allowing selection to meet system requirements for applications that include factory automation, smart meters and security equipment.
