NI teams up with Jakarta university for LabVIEW programme

National Instruments on Wednesday officially partnered with Politeknik Negeri Jakarta (PNJ) to establish the company's first LabVIEW Academy in Indonesia. The centre will provide classroom curricula and hands-on exercises to train students and researchers on NI LabVIEW system design software.

Indonesia, which has become one of the fastest growing economy in Southeast Asia, is heavily dependent on growth from industries such as mining and large-scale manufacturing, which require highly-skilled engineers and technical specialists.

PNJ Director Abdillah: Our students will definitely benefit from the trainings that the LabVIEW Academy will offer, giving them a competitive edge when they graduate and advance in their chosen engineering careers.

Since the opening of its office in Jakarta in December 2011, NI has been expanding its presence in Indonesia, supporting customers and partners across industries from automotive to manufacturing to academia sector.

"The objective of the LabVIEW Academy at Politeknik Negeri Jakarta is to help develop capable, industry-ready future engineers," said NI ASEAN Sales Manager Goh Yih-Hsiung.

In conjunction with the LabVIEW Academy certificate presentation ceremony at PNJ, NI also held its Graphical System Design Summit 2013 in Jakarta which featured talks on the expanding potential of graphical system design and wireless technologies for remote DAQ and transmission among other topics.
