NextG-Com has launched what it claims is the first Category 0-ready LTE protocol stack that provides a cellular connectivity solution for M2M applications, with reduced mobility requirements and infrequent small burst data.

ALPS-Lite is designed with modular architecture, allowing flexibility according to unique specifications. It is equipped with a customisable abstraction layer towards the underlying platform, RTOS and physical layer, to port to different M2M platforms without requiring a specific MCU or DSP for its execution.

NextG-Com provides the protocol stack support for its ASN.1 data stack and SE-RTOS, saying that this reduces third party dependency and licensing cost to enable faster system integration.

The company confirmed the product's validation against the 3GPP conformance test suite.
