Farsens S.L. has revealed an RFID sensor tag that sends a unique identifier and the related temperature measurement data to an EPC C1G2 reader, operating battery-free at temperatures ranging from -30 to 85.
The Pyros-3GT2 integrates a 103GT-2 NTC thermistor (10K) from Semitec with a measurement ranging from -10 120 with an accuracy of 0.5. It also features an extended temperature range from -30 to 300 with an accuracy of 3.
The device comes in a variety of antenna designs and sizes to adapt the performance to the required application in the 860MHz-960MHz band.
The reading distance for the battery-free thermistor tag is around 1.5m. With a 2W ERP setup, it can communicate to up to a range of 5ft.
The device can be embedded in a wide variety of materials such as plastics or concrete. It can also be encapsulated in an IP67 or IP68 casing for usage in harsh environments.
