BIOSTAR has released Intel's Haswell-based motherboard integrated with several of the company's in-house features including "Hi-Fi" audio technology and equipped with isolate circuit design for audio quality consistency.
The Hi-Fi Z97WE is an ATX form factor board that features Intel socket 1150 support. It has four memory slots with up to 32GB of RAM. The on-board LAN controller also supports 10/100/1000/2000 with "Teaming" mode, while the on-board HDMI supports 4K and 2K resolutions. The Hi-Fi series is equipped with isolate circuit design and high quality components to ensure the best possible audio quality consistency.
The motherboard also features the company's dual Gb LAN card functionality that is said to take networking and gaming to new levels. This particular function doubles the bandwidth which allows the network bandwidth of 1G to become that of 2G. In addition, the full-duplex transmission facilitates two network cards to be simultaneously transmitted to upload and download at the same time.
The board comes with two GbE lightning protection circuits, reducing the probability of damage from lightning or other power surge. If one connection is disabled, the other connection will automatically kick in.
Based on the Intel Z97 chipset, the board also comes with Intel's Smart Response Technology, Rapid Storage Technology, Intel Rapid Start Technology and Intel Smart Connect Technology all built into the system.

The includes support for 4th and 5th generation Intel core processors, and it enables overclocking on unlocked processors.
