Qualcomm stayed in the news for some time in November with reports of lower than expected earnings and its legal troubles in China and the EU. In China, Qualcomm blames phone companies for not reporting hundreds of millions in cell phone sales to avoid royalty payments while a government agency in that country investigates Qualcomm's business practices.

Meanwhile Samsung took the wraps off some of it under-development projects, some of which are aimed at competing projects at Google, Microsoft and Apple. We present them in a 10-slide show below.

Taiwan-based TSMC talked about integrating MEMS sensors in SoCs and Japan pushed new technology and business to be counted in the IoT space. Click on the headlines below to read these and more stories that made it to our select list of 10.
