Foxconn tops list of highest earning contract manufacturers

Based solely on sales, a website called Manufacturing Market Insider has revealed a ranking of the largest 50 electronics manufacturing services companies. The top 50 aggregate sales reached $265 billion, up by about 4 per cent and more than $10 billion over the equivalent figure in 2013, according to the website.

Hon Hai Precision Industries (Foxconn) had operating revenue of about $135 billion or about 50 per cent of the top 50 company sales.

All of the companies on the list had 2014 sales of more than $275 million and company revenue growth ranged from 50 per cent to -20 per cent but with the majority exhibiting positive numbers.

In order, the top 10 were: Hon Hai, Pegatron, Flextronics, Jabil, New Kinpo Group, Sanmina, Celestica, Benchmark Electronics, Shenzhen Kaifa Technology and Universal Scientific Industrial.
