Congatec has announced its industrial-grade conga-IC170 Thin Mini-ITX boards that provide a choice of Intel processors, including 2GHz Celeron, 2.3GHz Core i3, 2.4GHz and 3GHz Core i5, and 3.4GHz Core i7. Depending on the processor variant, the boards also offer configurable thermal design power (TDP) from 7.5W to 15W, stated the company.

The computer boards can be used for industrial applications, ranging from fanless HMIs, control and SCADA systems, kiosks and retail systems to slot machines and digital signage. With a height of just 20mm, they are also suitable for very slim panel and industrial all-in-one PC designs. Optional smart battery support expands implementations to include portable, battery-powered applications, such as medical ultrasound equipment.

With two SO-DIMM sockets, the conga-IC170 boards accommodate up to 32Gbytes of DDR4 memory at speeds of up to 2133MT/s. Integrated Intel Gen9 Graphics supports DirectX 12 and Open GL 4.4 for high-performance 3D graphics on up to three independent displays (HDMI 1.4, DVI, DisplayPort 1.2).

Along with a PCIe x4 slot (Gen 3), the conga-IC170's set of interfaces includes one mPCIe, four USB 3.0, six USB 2.0, two Gigabit Ethernet and a SIM card socket. A MIPI CSI-2 interface allows direct connection of low-cost CMOS cameras. Other industrial interfaces include two COM ports, one of which can be configured for ccTalk, and eight general-purpose I/Os. All current Linux and Windows operating systems are supported by the conga-IC170.
