Efforts to define 5G standards were undoubtedly addressed at the Mobile World Congress two weeks ago. The European Union Commissioner for Digital Agenda, Gnther Oettinger, had earlier complained that communications standards the 28-nation union resembled "28 fragmented silos." But, as yet, there is no news as to what was discussed or decided.
