What is FM?
Frequency modulation (FM) conveys information over a carrier wave by varying its frequency. In analog applications, the instantaneous frequency of the carrier is directly proportional to the instantaneous value of the input signal. However, digital data can be sent by shifting the carrier's frequency among a set of discrete values. This is called frequency-shift keying.
What is an FM radio receiver?
The FM radio receiver is a device that demodulates the original information from the carrier and amplifies it for the loudspeaker or other stages in the circuit.
