What is NTSC?
NTSC (National Television System Committee) is the analogue television system used in most of the Americas, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, Burma, and some Pacific island nations and U.S. territories. NTSC is also the name of the U.S. standardisation body that adopted that broadcast standard.
Compared to PAL, NTSC color accuracy and consistancy is considerably inferior, leading to humorous references such as Never Twice the Same Color.
